Myke,,, you have a different spelling to your name,,, this is really good,,, the reason I say this is because you have a start on being WHO YOU ARE,,,yes,,, I like me,,, not in a selfish way but because of who I am,,, I've had many ups and downs in my life time and I can tell you,,, I never thought of myself,,, I just did what I had too,,,one day when I was feeling really down I prayed so hard,,, then I realized who I am,,, you see,,, the little voice in our head that is reason, tells us who we are,,, we think of our thoughts as an everyday happening,,, not so,,, good thoughts are good reason,,, bad thoughts are us when we feel pity for ourself,,, please,,, don't take my word for it if you think I'm nuts,,, I am just a helper sometime,,,Please read some of my writings,,, no promise to change you,,, that is not up to me,,, that is up to you,,, Marie,

Just tried to say thanks for the kind comment, but I think it went to someone else (I bet they'll wonder what THAT was about . . .[snikcer]). Anyway, thanks for the kind comment.

Myke...where is your writing my friend. I was raised on horses...but as an adult I do not ride. Please write about teaching handicapped to ride. I would love to hear your story.

Myke: My poetry generally has multiple meanings. Some of what you read in the comments are that person's grasp of my intent as John Walter does. But others have different interpretations.
Don't be put off by the differences. Poetry is like Joseph's cloak: many colors, many hues, something for everyone. That's what a good poem does. You should join in when you feel like it. If you read a poem differently, you should let the poet know because he or she may learn from you. I am an African American and Native American combo. Myke don't ever feel like you're bothering me. You're not.

Myke: You're right, you know. Sometimes I don't understand the comments I receive. But your 'ping' touched me in ways you can't imagine. I can feel that you're genuine and that your comment is from the heart. I'v never felt so good on Gather as I do right now thanks to you. Black-eyed Peas you see, is my real life. These are real memories of being surrounded by so much love that my heart still aches. Thank you so much!
